In addition to our work providing safety and service for BART riders, members of ATU1555 are also active participant in the communities where we work and live.  Over the past three years alone ATU555 and its members have supported the following community projects:

* Stacey Owens was a BART Station Agent who was shot and killed by her husband, who then shot and killed himself.  These fundraising activities by ATU were undertaken to help Stacey’s surviving children, one of who was hit by a bullet in the shootings.

** Greg Freeman is a BART train operator who suffered a severe aneurysm.
